What’s in the Reach for the Stars Guide?

Reach for the Stars puts over 100 academic programs, challenges, competitions, events and enrichment opportunities for K-12 students at your fingertips. Whether after school, embedded in classroom learning, or during the Summer, these programs help Minnesota students discover interests, develop passions and talents, and solve problems. Reach for the Stars cross-references each program to grade level skills and curricular areas:

Ingenuity & Applied Strategic Thinking · Science & Engineering

Vocabulary · Mathematics · Performing & Visual Arts · Creative Writing

History, Civics & Social Studies · Speech & Debate

Business · Leadership · World Languages

The Minnesota Academic League ‘ endorses each listing. Strategic partners include the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE); Minnesota Nonpublic Schools Accrediting Association (MNSAA); two Minnesota principals’ associations (MESPA and MASSP); Minnesota PTA; Metro ECSU; Education Minnesota; Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA); and Minnesota Council for the Gifted and Talented (MCGT).

Helping Students Develop Interests, Chase Dreams

Teachers, counselors, instructional coaches, parents and students will find something useful in Reach for the StarsAll students are eligible for listed programs; need-based scholarships are available for several.

Reach for the Stars makes it easy for students to explore extra-curricular enrichment.
